What is PDO Face Lifting?

PDO facelifting is a cosmetic lifting technique. It lifts and tightens sagging skin tissues by

inducing collagen production. This is done by implantation of fine, absorbable polydioxanone

threads into the subcutaneous layer of the skin with small needles.

Am I a Suitible Candidate for PDO Face Lifting?

PDO therapy is ideal for people who have not developed deep wrinkles yet. It’s suitable for
women and men, and is usually applied to people between the ages of 35 and 60 It can be
used on the cheeks, brow, jawline, neck, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, arms, thighs and abdomen.

How is PDO Facel Lifting Performed?

The polydioxanone threads are implanted into the skin with small needles, and remain
implanted, causing very small injuries that stimulate collagen synthesis and tissue
contraction. After six months, the threads will be absorbed into the body leaving new
collagen in their place.

How Long Is The Procedure And How Long Will It Last?

The treatment is usually carried out using a local anaesthetic, and takes between 45 and 60
minutes, depending on the treatment area. You can see results right after the treatment, but
the lifting effect is at its peak after 6 months when collagen has formed around the threads.

The result lasts between 2-3 years.

You can continue with normal activities immediately after the treatment. Side effects are
minimal but may include swelling and bruising that lasts 2-3 days. On the first day after the
treatment, raising your head and keeping it high can help decreasing swellings, if they occure at all.
