E-max Crowns

E-max is an all-ceramic crown with an excellent record of aesthetics, durability and strength.

This type of crown is made from a single block of lithium disilicate ceramic, which makes it extra strong and durable while maintaining a pleasant translucent color. These exceptional properties make E-max crowns a perfect choice to restore teeth. Due its translucent color, it’s hardly noticeable next to natural teeth.

E-max crowns don’t have a metal alloy base, so you don’t get unsightly dark color in your gumline.

Depending on your teeth, some preparation might be needed before cementing E-max crowns. In many cases minimal amount of tooth is removed because it can be prepared in very thin sections due to its strength.

What are some common uses of E-max crowns?

  • Stained teeth: E-max crowns and veneers are excellent for stained teeth and they have resistance against facture and chipping.
  • Crooked or fractured teeth: Teeth can be restored and reshaped using E-max crowns especially in the anterior region.
  • After root canal treatments: Teeth can become brittle after root canal treatments. E-max crowns are a great choice to restore those teeth as they offer excellent strength and durability.

What are the benefits of E-max crowns?

  • Durability and Strength: E-max crowns are made of lithium disilicate; a glass ceramic that possesses excellent strength. These crowns are less likely to crack or fracture.
  • Appearance: Due its translucency, it’s the best match for your natural teeth.
  • All-ceramic: E-max crowns do not have a metal alloy base so they won’t be visible under gumlines.
  • Conservative: Due to their resistance to fracture and chipping, E-max crowns can be prepared in thin sections so only a minimal amount of natural tooth structure is removed during the preparation.

  • Your dentist will prepare the tooth that needs to be restored by removing a small amount of tooth structure.
  • An impression of your tooth will be taken. This is done by a mould filled with dental putty which you will be asked to bite into.
  • The impression will be sent to a dental lab where your crown will be fabricated.
  • Your dentist might place a temporary crown until your E-max crown is ready.
  • When your E-max crown is ready, you will need to go to your dentist’s office for the fitting.
  • After the crown is fitted, your dentist will give it a final clean and polish.

The clinic is outstanding

Id heard about Tourmedical when I was on holidays earlier this year. They had patients staying in the same hotel and I was watching the daily progress of how things were going for them, etc. I also know the staff of the hotel I was staying in well and they recommended Tourmedical to me also, so I had my decision made before I contacted them. I was very happy with the response I got from Majella , she was so helpful and re-assuring, as this was my life time dream and I wanted to be 100% sure of what I was doing and that they knew what I wanted and expected from the treatment.

Dr Elcin was  so friendly  and listened to me when I was explaining everything I wanted and also that I was soo soo nervous.

The clinic is outstanding, ive never been in a dentist with so much hi-tech equipment and the cleanliness was prestine, you could eat off the floor!!

Im here now after a week and had a fab holiday plus my dream has come true, I even had a meltdown on my checking day, when I saw my teeth, that this was the new me and new beginnings.

I now have the confidence I so wanted for so many years and its all down to the team at Tourmedical.

Thank you all so much.
