USED FOR cosmetic dentistry, repairing broken tooth,

Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-coloured resin material (a durable plastic material) is applied and hardened with a special light, which ultimately "bonds" the material to the tooth to restore or improve person's smile.

Unlike veneers and crowns, which are customized tooth coverings that must be manufactured in a laboratory, bonding usually can be done in one office visit unless several teeth are involved. Another advantage, compared with veneers and crowns, is that the least amount of tooth enamel is removed. Also, unless dental bonding is being performed to fill a cavity, anesthesia is usually not required.

Why Dental Bonding?

Dental bonding treatment is one of the most effective methods to achieve damaged teeth restoration or to gain the desired smile in the shortest of time.

What is a Dental Bonding ?

Dental bonding is a process that bonds a tooth coloured resin to the teeth to mask imperfections such as gaps between the teeth, teeth discolorations, to change teeth appearances so to align them with others or to protect a root after its been exposed by receding gums disease.

Dental bonding which is a simple and fast procedure that is often completed within the clinic during a single visit can also be used as a filling. Dental bonding, the creation of a perfect smile, takes between 30 to 60 minutes per tooth and unless the bonding is used for cavity filling no local anaesthesia is needed..

Dental bonding procedure:

  • - Consultation, X-Ray
  • - Selecting the dental bonding colour to match adjoining teeth
  • - Polishing the surface of the tooth to remove debris (for a stronger bonding surface)
  • - Shaping of the tooth (this may not be in necessary for closing tooth gaps or in minor chip treatments )
  • - Application of a gel type material called a “Tooth conditioner” to tooth’s exposed surface.
  • - Application of the bonding agent
  • - The final process of shining the “curing light” onto the treated tooth to harden the bonding agent.
  • - Trimming, shaping and polishing to match the sheen to the rest of the tooth surface.

I can highly recommend Tourmedical

For years i have had no back teeth but could not afford to have my treatment carried out in Ireland. I found Tourmedical on the internet and of course was wary at first about travelling abroad for treatment but after my 1st contact with them and i explained my situation to them and was told that my problem could be solved, at a price i could afford. I was very nervous but excited as was fed up of not smiling.Im a happy person, yet if you looked at me, i looked the unhappy one in the group because of my dental situation. I have no photos of me for years as would always opt to be the one to take them or disappear when the camera appeared as hated the way i looked.

I have come out the other side now and am so happy about my decision. The Dentist was the most percise, Professional Cosmetic Dentist you could meet, she made me feel at ease from the beginning and i knew i was in capable hands.

The whole experience was amazing and made so easy, i was able to enjoy my holiday and have my smile back again, all in once.

I can highly recommend Tourmedical.
